This semester I undertook an independent study in Photography at Connecticut College under the tutelage of Professor Ted Hendrickson. I spent a few hours each week wandering the streets of New London, capturing the details of this small city. These are just a very few of the photographs I included in my portfolio this fall. I went to England with my family for ten days in August. We spent a day and a half in London before travelling to the tiny town of Napton, where we rented a 58-foot long canal boat for a week. We flew over 3000 miles in a about 15 hours to travel just 108 miles in 7 days. I loved every minute of it. The English countryside is gorgeous, and we were blessed with some of the best weather you can imagine, though a little chilly at times, considering I was coming off a summer in New York!
Here are some of my favorite photos from the trip:
A view of St. Paul’s Cathedral from the Millenium Bridge (London)
Our boat, the Annie, being piloted by my father and mother
A duck takes off on the canal
Beautiful English countryside
One of the many small villages we passed through on our journey
These two trees just screamed to be photographed together
Sunset on the first night of our trip was truly majestic
